Old Fitzgerald 17 Year Old Bourbon Bottled In Bond Decanter Bottle 2022 Release
Distillery Notes:
We’re proud to announce the Fall 2022 Edition of Old Fitzgerald Bottled-in-Bond Decanter Series.
For this edition, barrels were pulled from across three floors of rickhouse F and one floor of rickhouse X at Heaven Hill Distillery’s main campus in Bardstown, Kentucky. The Bourbon was put into barrels in September 2003 and bottled in October 2022, making this the oldest release to date in the Old Fitzgerald series. Past editions have ranged in age from an 8-year-old release in the spring of 2021, up to a 17-year-old release in the spring of 2022.
Bottled in an ornate decanter, the fall 2022 edition features the black label that is consistent across all fall releases. And as was the case for the past editions, this edition’s tax strip, which has always been a signature of transparency on Bottled-in-Bond products, discloses when the liquid was produced and bottled. It also meets the strict requirements of a Bottled-in-Bond:
The product of a single distillery from a single distilling season.
Aged a minimum of four years.
Bottled at 100 proof or 50% alcohol by volume.
